The Goodspeed Opera House, home of Goodspeed Musicals, proudly is called “The Home of the American Musical.” It is where you will find sensational musicals featuring some of Broadway’s brightest actors, directors and designers. Goodspeed Musicals has won two special Tony Awards and is known as the theater where “Annie”, “Man of La Mancha” and “Shenandoah” were first staged. The theater is on the Connecticut River and is a treasure awaiting your visit.

I-Park manages residency programs in the woods of East Haddam to nurture artists and their individual creative pursuits, both in open-air and closed-studio laboratories. The organization maintains a unique system of art/nature trails. To protect the privacy of the artists, I-Park is usually closed to the public. Look for open studios or open trail events on their website to make a reservation for your visit.

i-Park, a nonprofit foundation in East Haddam, hosts sought-after artist’s residencies for creative talent from all over the world. Check their website for open studios or open trail days.

In our neighboring town, Old Lyme, you can visit the home of American Impressionism at the Florence Griswold Museum. Past artists painted along the banks of the Connecticut River near our Castle.
