Gillette Castle Interior & Visitor Center open daily 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Memorial Day - Labor Day, and weekends through Columbus Day. Ticket sales begin April 1, 2025.
Holiday Tours are held on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from November 28 - December 21, 2025, every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Holiday Tour ticket sales begin September 2.
Advance purchase of tickets is highly recommended. Tickets are sold by the State, not the Friends.
Grounds are open daily, year-round, from 8 a.m. until sunset.

Please note that the East Haddam Swing Bridge is undergoing a major multi-year renovation. The bridge construction alerts schedule provides important details. Alternatives are the bridges through Middletown or Old Saybrook, and the seasonal Chester-Hadlyme ferry.


Gift shop is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends 

The gift shop features a unique collection of books, clothing, art, postcards, Gillette-themed souvenirs, and vintage items approved by William Gillette. All proceeds from the gift shop go to support the work of the Friends of Gillette for present and future preservation for all to enjoy!
