Join the Friends of Gillette Castle in celebrating the historic Chester-Hadlyme ferry at the Hadlyme Ferry Boat Launch. The Friends will have light refreshments and flags to wave as we welcome the ferry arriving from Chester. There will be a brief ceremony with local luminaries and the Commissioner of the Department of Transportation, Garrett Eucalito.  The highlight of the morning is a brief scenic cruise on the ferry!

We suggest that visitors arrive early, park at Gillette Castle, and enjoy the 15 minute walk to the ferry landing via signage that will indicate the easiest route. The ferry parking lot is not large, and it fills up quickly.
